Born
in 1962 and living near Amsterdam (The Netherlands). Jack is
self-taught on guitar by listening to the heroes, exploring scales,
practicing and having fun in finding out how to play melodic
licks.
Jack
started playing the electric guitar at the age of 16 and was
amazed when he heard the first Van Halen album. After buying
a cheap Hondo 2 electric guitar at a music shop, the brothers
Jeff and Jack tried to get a few notes out of it and learned
some chords and licks by listening to records. Influences
are mainly Eddie van Halen, Gary Moore, Frank Marino, John Sykes
and Michael Schenker.
However,
this cheap guitar seemed to be fairly unplayable, so after shopping
at a local music shop for purchasing better quality guitars and
equipment, Jack joined the hard rock band Angus from
Amsterdam in 1984 and toured in Holland for some time...
To
make recordings possible and to develop his playing techniques,
he bought equipment for a home studio and started writing
songs. Jack has put some of the Instrumental
rock tracks on this site and they are available for streaming
and downloading.
Jack
currently plays rhythm and lead guitar with 4 guys in a heavy
rock cover band called Arrowhead and
they play classic rock from the 70/80's.
